It was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Solid bun rieu! It's flavorful and they're not stingy with it. I appreciate how fresh the herbs are as well. There's pickled shallots on the table as well but I found them on the sweeter side. Still great though. I must come back to try their BBH!

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant on the East Bay. I'm from San Jose, so I'm using to eating tons of good Vietnamese food. This place is authentic and everything is delicious. This is one of my favorite places to get Bun Rieu besides Pho Dao in San Jose. Da Nang Quan Bun Rieu is packed with flavor and comes with so many types of herbs. Most places that serve Bun Rieu just give you cabbage, mint, and lime. Their Bun Bo Hue is pretty good too. The area is sketchy, so be careful where you park.

My go-to for bun bo hue and bun rieu. It's delicious, and you get a lot of fresh condiments, mint, sprouts, etc. I'm not sure why some of these Asian restaurants are giving steamed sprouts, but sometimes that does not go with these soups or pho. Perhaps to preserve sprouts that are going bad??! Not Danan Quan tho! Great portions and tasty broths! My kiddo likes the pho too. Highly recommend.

I find a new place for bun mam Soc Trang in Oakland! Thr owner lady was very friendly and flexible. My mom asked for more crispy bbq pork and less boiled one. She said she could do only bbq pork if my mom wanted. Bun mam broth was clear but rich of flavor. My niece ordered Bun Dau Mam Tom. It was yummy too. I got Banh Xeo Mien Trung which was filled with pork belly, beann sprouts, and slices of white onion. The only minus point was dipping sauce of banh xeo. It was not authentically central area (mien trung) mixed fish sauce as I expected. It tasted as southern version. I guessed we were the first customers this morning. The restaurant was clean and nice. My clothes didn't smell food when we left. It's been at least 3 years I was back. I'll come more often to try other dishes from a menu book.

SPICY AF!!! One of the most legit bun bo hue in oakland, with the flavor and herbs (provided bean sprouts, cabbage, ram rang, thai basil and mint). Also, legit has a pork knuckle and steamed pork cake instead of sliced pork belly. Comes with beef shank, blood cube and house beef meatballs. Solid fresh spring rolls, the fried ones are good but I have had better filling. Overall, spicy but amazing.

Delicious food. It's hard to find good bun mam and this place offers so one of the best tasting bun mam along with many authentic Vietnamese noodle soups ( bun rieu, bun mang vịt, bún bò Huế ). Highly recommend.

Got takeout from here after a run around the lake. My first time having mi quang outside of Vietnam, was not disappointed. Everything in the dish has great flavor, and the noodles were great texture even after the 15 min drive home. Banh Xeo was also nice, and they are generous with the fresh herbs and veg on the side. Would take out again.

The best Bun Bo Hue in the bay! Don't bother driving to San Jose, this is the spot! $16 for a medium, but the flavors and meat are worth a shot. When they say spicy, they mean SPICY!
